Huize Colette: home is where the books are

Entering Huize Colette (notice the dainty art-nouveau characters on the window) is like visiting your favorite granny on a Sunday afternoon. You feel immediately at home and you just know you will not leave without having some lovely treats.

I just love to grab one of the many books that are piled up in there (they even have a Christmas tree of books during the winter!) and nestle myself in one of the corners with a delicious hot chocolate. And if there’s something Huize Colette is famous for, it’s its hot chocolates. A bitter hot chocolate, with Maltesers or with marshmellows… you name it.

When I feel like spoiling myself, I’ll have an etagère with different kinds of sweets as well. Oh, and try out one of the homemade limonades for a refreshing boost during summer.

The lovely owners Ottelien Muller and Aline Van Duyse take your order at the bar and will bring your order to your table. Take-away is also possible at a 10% discount.

Fellow chocolate enthusiasts, you know where to go! Enjoy.

PS: Like a book you read at Huize Colette? There’s a possibility to buy them if you like. Inquire at the bar.
