Discover Ghent, the city I call home
Even though I do not live in the heart of the city of three towers, it’s just a 20 minute bike ride away. There’s also a tram stop right next to our door that takes me to the center of Ghent, which I save for rainy days. And as you might know, we have enough of those in Belgium 🙂
This historic city was found around the rivers Leie and Schelde and is also known as the Artevelde City. About 30 years ago Ghent wasn’t as loved by tourists as it is today. The last decades the city invested in refurbishments of a lot of the historic buildings, squares and public transport which made the city more appealing to entrepreneurs and tourists.
Are you ready to discover Ghent? On this map you will find all my favourite places in the capital of East Flanders.
